BRAUNTON SEAMEN

The following is a list of seamen born in the Braunton area.
The list was compiled from the BT98 series at Kew P.R.O. in respect of Barnstaple & Bideford sailings.
The 'Barnstaple' sailings were mostly almost certainly from Vellator (Braunton), which were coastal in nature.
Sailings from Bideford often sailed into much more distant waters, including the Baltic and America.
NOTE the age discrepancies in several cases! Also that some continued sailing into old age.
